The Secret to Having More Time

Time only needs ‘managing’ because we don’t seem to have enough time
to do everything we want and need to do.
In particular, we never seem to be able to ‘find time’
for those important but not urgent activities.

Stop looking.

You’ll never find time.
It isn’t lost. You’re living it.
You have to consciously decide to live it
in certain ways and not others.
You have to make time by taking it away
from one activity and giving it to another.

Using Your Power – The Power to Choose

Have you been using your power to make the right decisions in line with your
goals and what you want to achieve from life? Have you been thinking about what makes you happy?

The power to choose is what gives us the opportunity to create a different life, right now! We, as an individual, have the power to choose.

If we set a goal of health and fitness which means we exercise everyday, then that needs to become a priority. We have the power to choose what we do, that is, we choose to make the time to exercise.

The entire goal setting theory will not work unless we accept that we have the power to choose.

Remember don’t let age, life or other excuses get in your way.

You don’t have to be great to get started,
But you have to get started to be great.

Action:

Make a list of 50 or 100 things you would like to do in your life. If you haven’t, take 15 minutes now and start thinking what are some fantastic experiences you would like to do. It doesn’t really have to be 100, but once you have identified them, make time to include some of the fantastic adventures you would love to do into your life. What will your time frame be - one a week, one a month, one a year? Just do it!

Here’s to making powerful choices so you can live life to the fullest!

Do You Ever Feel That There Is Never Enough Time?

Do you ever feel that there is never enough time to do everything you have to
do and feeling that you are never going to catch up?

You can get control of your time and your life only by changing the way you think, work and deal with the never ending list of responsibilities that flows towards you each day.

What you can do is stop doing some things and start spending more time on the few activities that can really make a difference in your life.

Success is Predictable

Simply put, some people are doing better than others because they do things differently and they do the things right.
This is the ability to concentrate on your most important task, to do it well and to finish it completely. This is one of the keys to success, achievement and happiness in life.

Eat That Frog

If you are like many people today, you may be feeling overwhelmed with too much to do and too little time. As you struggle to catch up, new tasks and responsibilities just keep rolling in, like the waves of the ocean. Because of this, you will never be able to do everything you have to do.

The Need to be Selective

Your ability to select your most important task at each moment and then to get started on that task and get it done both quickly and well will have more of an impact on your success than any other quality or skill you can develop.

The Truth about Frogs

Mark Twain once said that if the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing it is probably the worst thing that will happen to you all day long.

Your ‘frog’ is your biggest most important task, the one you are most likely to procrastinate on if you don’t do something about it. It is also the one task that can have the greatest positive impact on your life and results at the moment.

Take Action

For the next week, identify your frog each day and make that the first task you do.

I have a frog statue sitting on my desk that reminds me every day to eat my frog.

Supporting Others to Be Their Best!

We hope you have been working hard and staying focused with your productivity. Remember, one of the reasons to invest the time is so you have more time to really enjoy your life.

Life is for living
 and making the time
to enjoy yourself.

At our workshops, we have had a number of requests for other members to be able to connect with each other as well as brag and boast about the changes the planning has made to their lives. So to meet this request, we have set up a Facebook site where you can tell others about your individual unique solutions to becoming more productive. Shout your success!

The benefits of this include:
  • Inspiring others
  • Sharing ideas
  • Seeing solutions to a problem you may have
  • Being able to boast
  • Being proud of your results
  • Making new friends

If you have a Facebook account, log in.
If you do not have a Facebook account, then register and set up an account.
Search for “LifeStyle Refocus” or our email address on Facebook which is lifestylerefocus@gmail.com.au
Become a fan or ‘Like’ us.

It would be fantastic if we added value to others with ideas, tips, and solutions to improve productivity, clear the clutter and inspiring stories of success.

Feel free to post your photos into the Photos area if you have more than one as this means it becomes an album and we can all view the project from start [before shots] to the end [after shots].

Action:

Let’s celebrate creating a better life – brag and boast together!
